Every Film Announced So Far And When The X

It has been long speculated that once Marvel got its properties back from Fox, it would turn many of them into brand new adventures in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I would not be surprised if Marvel had tapped Hickman, known for his seriously epic and long term ideas, to reposition the X-Men not only in terms of their place in the contemporary world but also in such a way that things align more with whatever Feige and co are cooking up on the movie front.

Unlike a proven ticket and merchandise mover like Spider-Man , there's an increasingly vocal sentiment that the Fantastic Four are inherently old fashioned and faintly ridiculous, and that modern audiences simply don't have a place for them in their already superhero saturated hearts.

Unfortunately, in the meantime, Gunn signed up to direct a reboot of Suicide Squad That DC title will be Gunn's next film, with Guardians of the Galaxy coming after. After all, the Fantastic Four provides a perfect opportunity to use characters like Silver Surfer and Galactus, two big-time players on the cosmic side of Marvel.

A Disney-made reboot of the Fantastic Four could be a great new addition to the MCU, if done right. For the sake of this article, please spare me the "we How MCU Should Introduce The Fantastic Four already had two great Fantastic Four movies with The Incredibles " argument, because we all know that. Reed spoke about his own proposed version of a Fantastic Four” movie during a Q&A for Ant-Man and the Wasp” conducted by Collider.

Not all Marvel comic book characters are part of the MCU. Meanwhile, there were two Fantastic Four movies in the mid-2000s that have largely been forgotten (I think the first one is surprisingly okay, but nothing special) and the 2015 reboot was a disaster. The events of Avengers: Infinity War and presumably Avengers: Endgame make Phase Four, or whatever it's called, the perfect time to introduce Marvel's First Family.

Kevin Feige plans on bringing Marvel to Hall H at San Diego Comic Con this year, it's possible he reveals the release date for ‘Fantastic Four' there. Those teases could come in Marvel Studios movies or in limited series on Disney+. After what happened with the last Fantastic Four reboot, there probably aren't any wrong ideas, especially considering they'll be all overseen by Marvel.
